Since 2008, E3 Endurance has hosted multiple youth and junior triathlons to help youth and juniors learn the sport of triathlon in a safe, fun, spectator-friendly, "Olympic-style" format of racing where distances advance as they get older, so that they can improve to the highest levels in our sport.

WINSTON-SALEM
The Smiley Triathlon Festival combines the 21st annual race of the nationally acclaimed, Kids for Kids Triathlon, and the Smiley Sprint for a great triathlon weekend. Last year between the two days we had about 700 total athletes. Both events sold out in 2023, and we expect to sell out yet again in 2024.

WILMINGTON
This triathlon named the Pepsi/Ymca Triathlon would become the first and longest running triathlon on the east coast of the US with its start of 99 participants that September, 1979. Since, 2018, they have added a Youth Triathlon that has exploded in popularity and adds a great finale to the NC Junior Tri Series!

USA TRIATHLON STATE SERIES
USA Triathlon supports youth races and clubs across the country that give youth athletes the opportunity to get involved in the sport of triathlon. The goal of the USA Triathlon Youth State Series is to grow visibility of youth races across the country as well as keep youth athletes racing numerous times throughout the season.
